Choose the advisory type

Select the first option to define a geographic region advisory on a map. This advisory will be triggered
(activated) when a vehicle sends an update and is located inside the the map region defined (the map region
is defined locally in the system not in the vehicle). This is not a geofence that has been programmed into
the vehicle device. The unit must update at a fairly regular interval or the advisory region may not be
activated when a vehicle is actually located inside of the region (e.g. if the unit only updates once every
hour then it may not trigger the advisory if the vehicle sends an update while it is outside the region then
travels through the region (but doesn't send a position update) and then travels beyond the region before sending
the next position update). If you absolutely need to know when a vehicle has entered a region then that geographic
region (geofence) should be programmed into the vehicle so the vehicle can send an update immediately when it has
entered (or left) a geofence region. Make sure a map is opened and zoomed to contain the region you are interested
in defining before continuing. Click the Next> button to continue.
Select the second option to define an advisory region that will be triggered when a vehicle leaves the
defined geographic region (see the above description for more information on how advisory regions work).

Select the third option to define an advisory that is triggered when an update is received by a vehicle
that has an event (e.g. 'Emergency'). The vehicle device must generate an event code for this advisory to work.

Select the fourth option to define an advisory that is triggered when an update is received by a vehicle
that has a status code (e.g. 'At Job Site'). A Status is pretty much the same as an event code except it is
typically generated by a mobile data terminal (MDT). The vehicle device must generate a status code
for this advisory to work. Click the Next> button to continue.
