Layered Maps

The Layered Map menu provides the commands to import many standard vector map formats, including maps created in MapInfo® (MIF/MID format) and ESRI ArcView® (shape files). AutoCAD® files can also be imported to create the map image without the name database (street names).

Note: All layered maps are converted and saved in the WGS84 coordinate system.

Quick Tip:
Use the right mouse to get at the popup menu for quick access to convenient map define/save functions.

Quick Tip: Use the left mouse to click on a vehicle or point on the map to get a more detailed display about the desired object. The information is displayed on the map at the location clicked. The detailed information window will disappear when the mouse is released. Also, use the left mouse to click on a map to get the city, state, and zip code of the desired location (this is only available if you have a PW_Street map database loaded). The information is shown at the bottom of the RASTRAC window (next to the latitude/longitude and time display).
