Add layer

The Add Layer command is used to add layers of mapping data to the layered maps created via the Define Layered Map command. The Add Layer command displays a standard browse dialog box. Choose the desired map layer file name from the browse box, and it will be added to the map.

Quick Tip: When adding layers to a new map, you can select layer files from anywhere in your available disk drive environment, including network drives. If the file is not in your defined map store path it will be copied to it.
