Raster Maps


The Raster Map menu provides the functionality to import scanned images into RASTRAC and geographically calibrate them so that they may be used for vehicle tracking purposes. RASTRAC supports these industry-standard raster image formats:

Targa
TIFF
JPEG
GIF
BMP
PCX

Quick Tip: Use the left mouse to click on a vehicle or point on the map to get a more detailed display about the desired object. The information is displayed on the map at the location clicked. The detailed information window will disappear when the mouse is released. Also, use the left mouse to click on a map to get the city, state, and zip code of the desired location (this is only available if you have a PW_Street map database loaded). The information is shown at the bottom of the RASTRAC window (next to the latitude/longitude and time display).
