Start Playback

Start Playback

The Start Playback command opens the open file dialog, prompting you to choose a recorded file from which to playback.

In RASTRAC, you can open as many playback files as your license allows (maximum number of vehicles). Each new playback filename is used as that vehicle's ID. Thus, you can open several different playback files, and each playback file will create its own track in the display and have its own independent status window.

Note: RASTRAC does not maintain any specific program-wide state, e.g., "playback mode." Therefore, you may have live mobile data and live vehicle tracks streaming in from the serial port at the same time as you are playing back a file (or files).

Quick Tip: The Start Playback command can also be executed from the toolbar menu.

Quick Tip: You can use vehicle aliases with playback files. Just define the recorder file name (including file name extension) as a vehicle ID in the "Vehicle... Settings" dialog and give it any alias you like!
