Playback Synchronize
Playback Synchronize
The Synchronize command causes RASTRAC to attempt to align all playbacks so that
their current playback times match the playback time (if any) of the priority vehicle.
This function allows you to collect a large number of recorded tracks in the field,
and post-analyze them, while maintaining proper time synchronization among the vehicles.
RASTRAC performs the time synchronization process on each update. This allows you to
start and stop playbacks, while the sync effect continues to be applied to whichever
playbacks are currently active. All playbacks are synchronized in time to the
priority vehicle. During synchronization, a playback vehicle must be selected as the priority
vehicle, or time sync will not function properly (for instance a live vehicle is selected as the
priority vehicle). Go to Vehicle...Select Priority... and select the desired playback vehicle you
would like all other playbacks to be in sync with (a vehicle find will also select the priority
vehicle). The priority vehicle will show an asterisk '*' in the vehicle status window.
Synchronization of playbacks from different dates will not work.
If you select the Synchronize command while Synchronization is already in
operation, RASTRAC will stop performing the synchronization algorithm. As a result, vehicles
may wander out of sync, and new playbacks will run individually without being
synchronized to the priority vehicle.
