Zoom In

Zoom In (I)

The Zoom In command causes RASTRAC to expand the selected map image within its window. This allows you to see greater detail.

This option is available by right clicking on the desired map. For the currently active map, you can use the ‘I’ hot key to zoom in (press the letter ‘I’ – that’s an i not an L - on the keyboard).

Quick Tip: You can increase the zoom in level by holding down a number key while selecting the Zoom In menu item (if you right click on the map). Use any number from 2-9 to increase the zoom in value.

Quick Tip: You can zoom a map by holding down the left mouse button on a map and dragging an outline of the area of interest. When you release the left mouse button the map will zoom to the area outlined by the ‘zoom-box’. To move the ‘zoom-box’ for a raster or layered map, hold the shift key while moving the mouse to place the ‘zoom-box’ where you want it (this will not work for a PW_Street map). If you want to cancel the zoom, hold down the control (Ctrl) key (for layered or raster maps) or the escape (Esc) key (for PW_Street maps) when you release the mouse button.
